What gears do i need for my car...... I have the auto with 2.73's in the rear. I want to go 3.73 but idk how many teeth and such.... any help would be greatly appreciated!

Ok, we know the rear end ratio...(2.72) what is your tire hight? With that, you should be able to look at the chart or do the math from the formula and chose your gear. You will have to change the speedo gear and the gear on the output shaft of the tranny. Speedo gear is on the tailhousing of the tranny. Chose the matching 17 or 18 tooth drive gear to go with the speedo gear that coresponds to your tire hight.

go here to find out which ones you need. you will need to know your tire size as well as your rear end ratio. i don't like the charts in the link you posted. they never matched what i had factory. the one in the link i posted did so i used it when i did my conversion. then i went to the link you posted to order the parts...lol

 

so in a nutshell....

my car will have 3.27 rear end and 217/65R15 tires. Based on this and the calculations I will need a 17 tooth drive gear and 43 tooth driven gear?
