Re: what gear do i have?

You have two choices, either a 3.27 or a 2.77 ratio. The 2.77 is more common. What RPM are you at while driving down the freeway in 4th gear?

Re: what gear do i have?

i am going to tell you what i did to figure out my rear ratio. i too could not find any tags on my rear, so listen closely
1- mark the end of the driveshaft that goes to the rear, and mark a spot on the rear with chalk and make sure they line up.
2- mark the tire with chalk.
3- with the car in the air, spin the tire one full revolution. take note to how many times the driveshaft spins one full revolution. once my tire spun 360 degrees, my driveshaft had spun 3 turns, and about a quarter more, so i know that i have 3.23s, or 3.27s.
if it spins a little over 3, youve got 3.08s. 3 and a half, 3.42s, 3 and three quarters, 3.73s, a little over 4, 4.10/4.11s.
simple right?
