Axle/Gears: 2.73 Open Diff
3.73 Gears
My friend gave me the ring but I am not sure if they are 3.73 gears how can I tell?

If all you have is the ring, then "they" aren't ANY ratio.
What's the sound of one hand clapping?
It takes 2 to make a ratio.
3.73 is 11 on the pinion and 41 on the ring.
If all you have is a ring but you don't have the pinion that was matched to it at the time it was made, then you have just some useless garbage.
