tranny slipping

i have a 71 chevelle and the tranny is going bad. it is a daily driver. should i just rebuild that and put a shift kit in it or is there another transmission that would be more convenient and rather easy to install

Re: tranny slipping

Not thirdgen related, but....

A 350 is about as no-brainer as it gets. Changing to anything else will require actual EFFORT {gasp}. Fix it and put it back.
