My 4L60E works fine when its cold. Now when its warm, it takes about 5-10 seconds for it to engage in 1st or Reverse. It also doesn't downshift manually from 2-1. If I go WOT it downshifts to 2-1. I'm hoping to get a different transmission this weekend but I would like to know if its something simple.

Could it possibly be the pump? When it does engage, it does so sloooooowly, then it engages normal. Any clue as to what it would be would be great. At this point though, I'm prepared to get a new one.
