i have two rear ends relatively near me in my price range. ine is a 1996 z28 rear with 3.23 gears and discs.
the other is a 3rd gen. BW 9 bolt with 3,27 gears and discs.
ive read up on both and i know what i need to do both swaps, im still not sure. help me out.

The 9-bolt rear end will be stronger, but the aftermarket support is a lot smaller. I would still get the 9-bolt rear.

BW 9 is what I would get and run. does the 9bolt have pbr rear brakes? if not I would do the swap to the pbr

Re: 4th gen or 3rd gen????
thanks guys. turns out hes going to throw in the m/c and the prop. valve so i think ill do that. and if anyone needs a rear end i have found a bunch in the s/e michigan area let me know. lots of fourth gen. rears with low miles
Re: 4th gen or 3rd gen????
You will not need the m/c, just the proportioning valve. But the most important is the the Parking brake cables for that 9-bolt.
