What is the best thing to do for a 91 rs 305tbi when it's 700r4 dies?

Should I rebuilt it or just buy a new one? I would have to have it rebuilt at a shop because I cant do that myself like other things. I plan on installing it back in my self when I get the replacement...

I know a junkyard that has camaros and they sell transmissions for 75$ but I have no idea if there good or not........I would also have to pull it from under the car myself in the junkyard..

I also thought about switching to a 5speed because i have the entire setup off of a older camaro but no transmission...

I don't make to much money so im looking for the cheapest thing.

 

well if you have everything for a auto to manual swap minus a tranny, find a tranny and change the car over. you can get a good used manual for cheaper than you could get a rebuilt 700r4.its your call
