My 700R4 is acting up. I hear a whining noise when I first start it at idle and in gear. Today, it starting slipping & bucking while crusing at 35mph in 4th gear. Then, it stopped going all together while it was in gear. I could put it in reverse, drive, etc and it wouldn't go anywhere. I checked the transmission and it was very low on fluid. I filled it back up and it shifted into drive and went down the street and then did the same thing again, was in gear, but wouldn't move. I noticed a small amount of tranny fluid on the ground after sitting for a few minutes. I had the governor replaced a week ago and it worked okay, until now.

Does anyone have an suggestions on what the problem with my transmission could be?

Oh, and why when I let it sit for awhile and then start it up it will shift into gear and drive a little bit, but then act up again?

 

The transmission fluid is full and dark in color; and seems to be leaking onto the ground.

i'm still trying to figure out why anybody would want to be in 4th at 35mph

 

The car will move in gear if I rev the engine up really high and it will slowly creep along, but only while the engine and transmission are completely cold. After it has been driven for about a mile it will not continue movig. It will be in gear and I can rev it up without the car moving at all.
