Which of these lockup kits are good for the money?
Looking for a lockup kit for the 700r4 but I dont understand the differences between the kits. Some say you dont need to drop the pan others say you have to. Which is best, drop the pan or dont drop the pan and why

The reason you wouldn't have to drop the pan is that their pressure switch installs in the external 4th gear pressure port as opposed to the port on the valve body, where the stock switch is located. Why do you need this kit? Your car should be computer controlled (unless it's something different than in your profile). Are you going carb?

Hi , don't worry you're not the only one lost. So far here is what I found the more easy to undertsand. In my opinion if you have still the lock-up wiring in your trans use it and don't get any kit ... If this is what I undestood ...

I would recommend a kit that has a brake switch so when you hit the brakes the converter will unlock when the brakes are applied. Otherwise your car could stall when you hit the brakes because of the converter being locked.
