700r4 tail housing
Hello. I just picked up a built 700r4 for my 400sbc powered z28. The car came with no trans The trans came out of a monte carlo ss. Is the tail housing different from the f-body housing where the torqu arm bolts? if so where can i buy one? thanks. Bryan

Yes the extension housing is different.
Junkyard, transmission shop, GM dealer.
Interesting that a MC SS had a 700-R4 in it... they don't come that way. Those come with a 200-4R. Requires a certain amount of effort to install a 700 in one. But hey, it's been done; one of my little brothers even has one like that.
