1987 camaro turns off

Need help. I have 87 camaro tpi convertible. Changed the 305 for 350 a few years ago. Now, I changed the computer and rebuilt the transmission. Car will drive fine until you park and turn it off. It won't turn back on. Then it will turn on after a few hours or the next day. Help.

do you have headers? It might be a symptom of "hot start" my car was really bad after the headers went on and didn't go away until I put in a mini starter (LT1) in. It can of course happen with the stock manifolds as well.

still sounds like a hot start issue, maybe some more info would help.

When it wont start does it crank or just nothing? Is the starter clicking when it wont start?

Motor turns over, hear fuel pump starter turning, car won't start. Sometimes it tries to come on but dies. How can you check your manifolds?

Re: 1987 camaro turns off

well if the car is cranking than it isn't a hot start issue. when it is cranking have you tried to use starter fluid?
It is really only 2 things that are going to cause this and that is either no spark or no fuel, since most likely you still have compression since it will work fine after sitting a while.

Just from what you're saying I would say it is something with the ignition coil, or module maybe it is getting heat soaked and having trouble turning? Maybe?
