Did you change the fluid/limited slip additive when you purchased the rear?

Sounds like it's not a posi NOW, even if it was when it was new. More likely though it doesn't have posi at all.

What kind of "posi" is it? How do you know it's a posi? What fluid did you put in it when you installed it in your car?

the limited slip additive is a must . change fluid and don't forget the additive . good time for a visual inspection of rear end .

Re: rear end problem

What the additive does, is let the clutches slip smoothly, when the 2 wheels both have traction and need to turn at different speeds, like going around corners. Lack of additive will make the clutches groan and chatter going around corners. That will not make it slip.

Sounds like, if in fact it's really got the parts in it and you've seen them with your own eyes and this isn't just a "I know it is because it makes 2 stripes" posi or a "the RPO codes said it is" posi, it's just worn out. Time for a new one.
