I believe the problem to be my transmission. When the car is in drive the tranny will make kind of a squeeling/chirp. Also, when I put the pedal to the floor and kick into O/D, I can feel something slam down. I believe it may be the tranny. Do I need new tranny mounts? What commonly would cause this?

The transmission shifts okay, the noise is just noticeable at low speeds. It's also not consistent, it only happens sometimes.

if noise is not there when in park but is there in gear probablly torque converter. for the slamming check trans mount and torque arm mount.
