Transmission: Rebuilt 700R4,vette servo,2200stall
Axle/Gears: 2.73 Posi
heres a stupid question lol

i got my trans rebuilt about 3 months ago and its been leaking trans fluid and i check the dip stick and it says its over full but thats imposible lol....when i check it when its warm and in park it says its over full..i can feel it sliping but i cant figure out y its reading wrong...i thought it was the wrong dipstick so i used a buddies and its the same...are there any tricks or is my tranny just weird lol

Well a trans thats overfull will leak and it will slip from areation , That may actually be your problem

Drain it down and see it it still leaks.

Does the tranny oil look clean? No water contamination? If you're still using the oil cooler in the rad, it's unlikely but possible that coolant is getting into the tranny oil.

Who did the rebuild? Is it still under warranty?

how can i drain it out without making a huge mess i dnt got a shop or anything so i cant take the pan off and how many quarts does it take...it leaks a huge puddle everynight but t says its over full still

if it's over filled it will leak out the breather (on top of the trans case). it souldn't leak out if all the seals are good. if you have a suction gun with a long hose pull the fluid out of the filler tube. if not pull a cooler line off the radiator. make up a metal 5/16 brake line and attatch some rubber hose to both lines and run them into a pan. be sure to clamp the hoses. start up the car and let the fluid pump out.
