vibration help please

I have a drivetrain vibration i am pretty sure, while driving in gear-between 1500rpm and up i get a bad vibration in every gear. also on the highway i get one at 60+, while under heavy load the vibration is more violent, i replaced the clutch recently and just started doing it after the install. has a new OEM trans mount, i am wondering if this could be a flywheel problem? it did not vibrate at all before i did the clutch, I did not touch the flywheel, just installed clutch-trans. maybe it could be the balancer?, the car is a 88 camaro with the 305TBI. everything seems to be working fine in the trans, but i get a pretty annoying and bad vibration, i have no idea why it would be the flywheel or clutch related. also there is 140,000 on the car but almost all the suspension is new, and it is not tires as it will vibrate at low speeds, mostly on acceleration.has new plugs, wires, and cap rotor, I have tried both the stock driveshaft and the steel one out of my lt1 car, both having new u-joints. help me out guys what should I try, I have an aluminum shaft laying around, should I try that?

Re: vibration help please

will the vibration go away if you put the clutch in or pop it in neutral?

Re: vibration help please

i was mistaken, if im sitting in nuetral in the driveway and rev it up, it will vibrate between 2000 and 3000, im thinking it is the clutch or flywheel but what else should I check. the clutch is new and the flywheel never vibrate before i changed the clutch.

Re: vibration help please

well you can rule out from the trans back. how are your motor mounts. does the engine seem to be mifiring or stumbling to cause the vibration? did the distributor cap get knocked off or cracked while the motor was hanging? check the wires too. i can't see how the flywheel or pressure plate could be installed incorrectly.

Re: vibration help please

the thing is I did not remove the flywheel, and i am almost positive i installed the pressure plate right. I also did a cap, and rotor after to rule that out. it is not a engine missfire, its something in the drivetrain, i looked at the motor mounts and they seemed fine. Next thing is ill try a aluminum shaft and see if that helps any. but ive tried 2 steel ones and still have a vibration...im stupmed

Re: vibration help please

if you can make the vibration without moving the car it would rule out the driveshaft. check the exhaust and torque arm and see if it is hitting the floor anywhere.
