TV Cable Adjustment Problem

Axle/Gears: Strange S60 3.73
TV Cable Adjustment Problem
I am having problems adjusting my TV cable. The problem is that after I push the button in and slide the cable all the way back to the firewall and set the cable by pulling throttle to WOT, the black part that has the grooves cut into it comes all the way out before I get to WOT. What should I do to fix this?
