Engine: 350, forged 355 in the works
Transmission: 4 speed goin to th400
Axle/Gears: stock 9bolt, 3.27
help, the trans wont go in
ive done a 305 to 350 swap in my 91 rs, i got a t5 trans from a v6 , i got the 10.5in 14spline disk and pressureplate, a v8pilot bushing, and i cant seem to get the trans to go all the way up to the base of the bell,i no its in the disk cuz i can not spin the output shaft, so is there any thing i did not do or somethin i should do,
, o and i no its not a goood trans but its temp for now, serious replys only please

ive did a lil reading ive read the v6 input shaft is a 1\2in longer is this true? if so then that could solve the prob there , i want to make sure b4 i go cutin my input shaft

If you get this thing in you should start a thread about how long it lasted behing that 350.
Also as you mentioned the v6 has a 14 spline input shaft, and the v8 t-5's use a 28 I think something like that, but definately not 14.
Just saw in another post you already did the swap sooo never mind, still do a write up of how long it lasted.

i think you should put in a v8 t5. first off, they dont fit, 9i dont remember specifically but,) either the splines are too long or the splines are different sizes, and secondly if you did shorten it, it wouldnt hold up...y waste time and money when it would be so much easier doing it the right way by installing a v8 t5
