Whatsup guys I finally got my 89 RS 5.0 registared today. I realised when I give it gas it like powershifts down to first would that be a lack of transmission fluid?

And also sometimes when Im driveing normally ill be at a stop ill take off and it feels like the car is about to stall. But after a bout driving for a half hour its fine. Anyone have any similar expierances? Thanks guys

 

-Well when you gun it its supposed to drop down A gear.

No I know its supposed to downshift but it's like a big bang.

Im more worried about the fact that it feels like it almost stalls. I dont think its slipping it doesnt feel like it im not sure though

 

Heres what you do cause you dont speak transmission. Take it to a trans shop and see if they will do a free road test. Then come back here and tell us what they said its doing. Then we can give you pointers.

 

Just some basic stuff right here:
1)Check and see if the tranny fluids any good if it looks dark/dirty or SMELLS BURNT, it needs replacement
2)Check and see if you have the right LEVEL of tranny fluid
3)RE-ADJUST YOUR TV CABLE!! this COULD be why its banging down, look it up on here theres an article
