i have a canadian model 85 trans am with a 700r4, and it is a canada model it has no ecm so it has a vacuum operated lock-up converter, i recently put a edelbrock carb and intake on, and i don't know where i should hook up the TCC vacume, i tried using a port on the carb and the converter does not lock up, do i need manifold vacuum for it?

Re: canadian 700r4

Never heard of a vacuum lockup converter but there may be one. Normally when a transmission needs a vacuum source such as the modulator on a TH350, it needs manifold vacuum. A carb can have venturi and/or manifold vacuum ports on it. Manifold vacuum is the lowest port available.
