Stick Position Meaning on Autos
Hi Guys,
Ok this is going to sound a dumb question to the US guys but I'm in the UK and have recently purchased a 91 V6 auto and I know what the P, N, R, D mean but what happens if I select the numbers 1, 2 and 3? Is that a sports or semi manual mode or something?
Thanks, appreciated!
Ian

ok im no expert but i pretty sure the 1 2 3 is just an override! Your at a stop and would put it in first "1" if you have a tach you can see what your RPM's are and can shift to seconed "2" when you want! its kinda like a manual override for shifting without a clutch! this is how see it maybe someone else can explain it better!?
