my friend has a 98 camaro that needs a transmission soon, some of you may have read my post about my suburban transmission, well we got a new one for it and my friend is wanting to buy my old transmission to send it off to get built but its a 4x4 transmission, would he be able to take his tail shaft off his camaro transmission and put it on the 4x4 one|?

 

im pretty sure yeah, might have to change output shaft but i dont think so i think just the housing

 

yeah, i was just reading though that the tail shaft is shorter on the 4x4 trans so he would have to dissasemble the transmission to put the the out put shaft off his camaro into the 4x4 trans and also the tail shaft to the camaro one. im not sure though
