Axles and wheel studs

Just have a quick couple of question before I buy some stuff and need your input. Im about to buy these axles from summit

http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

Are they alot better than stock axle. I need something strong to hold up.Next question is which wheel stud do I need out of the 2 of these ?

Re: Axles and wheel studs

you need 12mmx1.5 studs,

the moser axles are much stronger, but the ring and pinion are the weak link, as well as the spidergears/posi, they will break long before the axles. really no point upgrading the axles, especially the 26 splines ones IMO

Re: Axles and wheel studs

This is only a street car and will have no track time. I am only putting street tires on it no slicks of any kind.I plan on upgrading the rear with moser axles and I already have a powertrax unit so the posi/spider gears are out of the way. I also have the ta girdle and I will be upgrading to a 3.73 gear next summer. I think I will be safe with this rearend upgrade on the street.

so do you absolutely hate the powertrax yet? You will be fine on the street i was just saying that you really needn't bother upgrading the axles
