Only one wheel spins, How do I make them both spin??

Ok,

As of right now only the passenger side wheel spins from takeoff, I want it so that no matter what both wheels spin, I'm tired of not getting any traction at the track.

I have the stock 9 Bolt rear end.

Im not sure what I have now or even what the part I need is called, some links to the part I need would be greatly appreciated.

sounds like your rear end is blown if only the pass side spins...did it ever used to leave posi track burnouts?

totally not the economical way to go but get a 9inch or 12 bolt, with a detroit locker rear, both wheels will lock whenever you go strait, even a brand new posi doesnt totally lock both wheels,

Re: Only one wheel spins, How do I make them both spin??

One trick a friend showed me was to back up a few feet (maybe 10 or 15 feet) then switch to drive or 1st, while never releasing the brake. Apparently the rear end locks up both tires, while in reverse. Since you continue to hold the brake after going from reverse to forward, it remains locked, and will apply equal torque to both tires. Tried it out, and it works on mine. Not a permanent fix, but it will get you hooking up a little better until you swap the rear out.

Both wheels will spin if I take a left turn and then give it gas. Both wheels will also spin off the line if I jerk the wheel hard to the left and then straighten it back out. This is very annoying to have to do EVERYTIME I want at least a shot at traction. This is also very dangerous.

I can also do two wheel burnouts if I turn the wheel to the left.
