Proper flexplate for ZZ4

I need to know the proper flexplate for the ZZ4.

I need to have the small 152 tooth flexplate with the new crank bolt pattern and the proper counter weight.

I bought a flexplate for a 2000 camaro from the parts house which has the proper bolt patterns and the proper diameter. The counterweight consufuse me as it may only work with an LS1 or LT1. I did not think about this at the time and can take it back.

Reason for needed one...

I am running a lighweight flexplate with a 3 disk clutch and a thick aluminum bell housing / scatter shield that will only take a small flexplate / flywheel.

Last time at the track the car developed a noise in the bell housing. I believe the counterweight that bolts to the clutch pack came loose and going to a factory type flexplate with the weight welded on may be more reliable.

Flexplate's are for automatics

Flywheel's are for a manual transmission.

What one do you need?

Re: Proper flexplate for ZZ4

I need a flex plate.

My clutch set up works with a flex plate.

The clutch disc is 7.25 inch and has its own flywheel which is also 7.25 and bolts to the crank through the flex plate.

Flexplates their not just for automatics. Think reduction in rotational mass.

Interesting.

I purchased a ZZ383. It came with a 153 tooth flexplate and I have a manual. If your interested I'll be happy to sell the brand new flexplate really cheep.

PM me if your interested.

Not to nit-pick, but it's either 153-tooth or 168-tooth.
