LT1 linkage in a T5
Hey all,
I have a 1990 WC T5 in a n IROC. My hydraulics are worn out and I can get a deal on a new set of hydraulics the catch is it is for a '97 LT1.
I like the braided line so want to install this setup.
does anyone know if there are any reasons why I could not completely replace my linkage with a set from a 1997 LT1 camaro?
thx

Re: LT1 linkage in a T5
I think the only difference is going to be the length on the line but a lil extra is fine just tie it up out of the way if it looks like it will get in the way of anything

Yup, the slave cylinder on the t56 mounts the opposite way because it is a pull style throwout bearing. So the line is longer.
Like said above just tie or tuck the line out of the way and you should be good. I'm using a T5 with LT1 hydraulics.

Re: LT1 linkage in a T5
im using the lt1 setup too, works fine. the only little issue is the open end of the master pushrod that attaches to the clutch pedal is a little thinker or something, the stock retaining clip for the t5 setup wont work, you need to use something else. Im using a e-clip retainer, works fine
