9 Bolt Red Line gear oil help needed
I'm interested in installing some 75W 140NS gear oil in my rebuilt 9 bolt posi 1LE rear end. There is some howling from the gears when I decelerate. This gear lube has no friction modifiers in it. Would this be a good gear oil for me?
Thank you for your help.

I wouldnt count on it to make the noise go away.
In my professional opinion. I only use 80w-90 non synthetic hypoid gear oil.
On the newer vehicles that come with synthetic the fuild turns into varnish right at the change interval. And then shortly after that the bearings will be pitted. Where as the dino oil will be fine all the way up to 100k miles and then some, and the bearings seem to in alot better condition then the ones seen in apps with synth oil.
