slamming into drive

Not sure whats going on but when I put trans into drive it slams real hard .... any ideas? thanks in advance

By 'slamming', do you mean a thunk noise along with a jerk of the car? If so, might be U-joints in the driveshaft.

no u joints is like a clank .......... this is more like ooohhh my back....lol....and i tried to set the tv cable and when i push the button i can't push the cable in......

My trans did the same thing and turned out to be the trans mount. When I placed the car in drive it felt like and sounded like a hard thud under the center console. If that's it I suggest a performance replacement part from Energy Suspension or the like. I think you can get them from autozone etc.
