gears from a 97 bravada/s-10/blazer

theres a rear end at the shop thats just sitting there..its a 10 bolt with stock 3.73s...can i use that ring and pinion in my stock rear end?

i have a stock 10 bolt with 2.73s

Gears yes, but they won't fit on your carrier. You have a 2 series carrier. The 3.73 will be in a 3 series carrier. Since you have a 92, you'll have 28 spline axles. You can swap the entire carrier over into your differential.

i was gunna put it in my 89 formula 10 bolt sry

does the 89 have 28 spline axels

can i swap the whole carrier still?

There's very few 89's with 28 spline axles. If they were a late in the production yard build they may have 28 spline. The only way to know is to pull the axles and count the splines. Yours will probably have 26 spline axles. That means if you swap the carrier, you'll need new axles. 90-92 third gens have 28 spline axles.

The only axles that are the proper length for a third gen are from another third gen. You won't find any junkyard axles the same length as third gen axles.
