Car: 1986 trans am
Engine: 305 with almost 2000000 on it!!
Transmission: 700 r4
new guy here, need tranny id help
i have an 86 trans am v8 tpi and i don't know how to identifiy the tranny. it has been rebuilt from salvage and no original paper work, can anyone help me id it, or point me to where i can find out?

auto trans is a 700r4, manual is a t5
it could have been swapped to something else, but who knows. If you get under the car, and the torque arm is attached to the trans tail shaft, its like i stated above.
