If that's how yours is set up, I want pictures. Mine is

I think if you get a reverse valvebody it does that.

To be totally fair, my center console is right next to me in my bedroom, so I was kinda cheating. >.>

so could this work in conjunction with full manual transgo shift kit or would that be pointless as both do the same thing?
thanks!

When I installed my TransGo, there was the auto or manual shift. When doing manual shift I think it was the difference of drilling an extra hole or something like that. That gets rid of all automatic shifting what so ever. You would need to go with a reverse valve body to switch (D) and 1st on the shifter. I'm not sure if the reverse valve body is strictly manual shifting or not. I would think so. Who wants to shift through all the gears to get into and out of overdrive if it's automatic every time.

That valve body is full manual. I'd imagine somewhere is a plain reverse pattern valve body that's not full manual, but I'd also imagine it'd be a weird one.

thanks for the info!
one last question. would a shift kit still provide and advantage when using a reverse valve body? as far as strengthening the trans.

About the only advantage would be increasing line pressure for a firmer shift. A bit better for the clutches. Less slip/wear. You would actaully have to change the parts themselves in the trans to make it stronger. Upgrade pump to keep consistent pressure at high RPM, upgrade sun shell(part that is most likely to break), I think you can pick up a 5 gear planetary out of a newer trans that will work and is stronger.
This site has a lot of stuff.

Really hard to look through, but I got a few things from them as well as Pro-Built Automatics.
