Whats the Cost
I have seen a few post on swapping out your auto for a stick. well i want to do this, i know what i need, i was wondering if anyone has done this and knows a ball park figure on cost. trying to get an idea.
My problem is i love manual trans... i have an auto. i love my firebird, would be be a hassle, would i be better off buying a 5 speed firebird

Re: Whats the Cost
a "kit" of takeout parts complete usually runs around 6-8 hundred, depending on quality of parts.
I found the hardest part was getting the pedals in and out. Its a tight fit under the dash and its a little tricky getting to the bolts.
I did all the work myself, so i couldn't tell you what it wold cost to have someone do it for you.
you can do all the work without a lift, just with jackstands, floor jack(s) ect.
