alright 5th went out week ago i fixed it the c-clip slipped off the shaft and the top gear moved off the splines...so i replaced the c-clip and it was working for about a day...get on highway to go to work today...soon as i get on highway and merge over and just cruising this is about a mile from getting on highway it goes out...so im curious if someone else has had a similar problem with 5th gear in the t-5...i think it may be due to the c-clip being so darn thin...with the pressure of the gear pushing on it...im not surprised it fails infact im shocked its not a more common problem...so was thinking about machining a thicker c-clip...or just a ring...possibly even welding it in place...im running out of ideas...yeah i want to get a new trans got one in mind...but dont quite have all the cashola to pay for it yet...so just checking on here to see if someone else has had a similar problem and if they fixed it, how did they fix it????????????
