Rear end swap Speedometer question??

I am swapping the stock 2:83 searies gear out of my 91 for a G92 3:23 rear. My question is, does anyone know which speedo gear I will need for the trans to make sure the speedo is correct?

Oh it makes a difference, your speedo will say your going faster than you actually are (not as bad a vice-versa) but I still like it to be correct.

Try this for calculating the correct gear you need for the speedometer drive.

And I've been very pleased with the service from this company.

Both sites are mentioned in the following link; however, since the link is for T-5's, most 700R4 guys won't check it.

Re: Rear end swap Speedometer question??

Is it the same for T-5s and 700R4s??

Also, where do you change the speedo teeth? I am changing my rear as well going from a 2.73 to a 3.42. I know I need a brown one, but if I get the brown one where is the place to install it? Inside the dash? I really am clueless on this...read a lot of threads, but havent seen the answer yet.

EDIT: I think I just found it amazingly enough...but how long does it take to do?
