my gear shifter is not positioned right. when yuo put it in gear it reads between gears. and when putting it in park it doesn't feel like it goes in properly. is there and adjustment for the shifter to line up??

only real adjustment is at the shifter cable connection at the trans.. as i remember theres a right and wrong way to adjust it, i just dont remember which is which right now :P im sure someone knows the procedure tho I thionk most of it is the indicator itself wearing out tho..

 

or, a common occurrence is the bracket falls off the trans pan. get under the car and check the linkage bracket, its probably come loose, is seems to happen a lot.
