Im looking for the Driveshaft straps. The 2 U shapped braces that hold the DS to the rear end pinion. And Im also looking for the clamshell peice that hold the torque arm to the trans. I did some searching and found the straps for a vette and I donno if its the same size. And I found that the clamshell is discontinued?? Anyone know of a place I cna order these parts from. Thanks

 

The straps are pretty much the same for most GM passenger cars, I think they're available in the HELP section in most parts stores. The clamshell, you may have to hit up a boneyard, or try Hawks.

I just ran across some of the straps/bolts the other day (I couldn't find them and had bought new aftermarket ones.) So I know what you mean.

 

Ok well I went to Advance auto and got a pair. Bring them home and they arent wide enough to go into both holes. Return those go to NAPA, they got the exact same size! Its a 10 bolt rear so that should be pretty standard I mean its stock. Anyone know wher eI can buy the wider ones online?
