auto to t-5 swap questions

ive got a 86 z28 with a 305tpi and an auto tranny, but im not digging the tranny selection....i bought it because it was cheap, it had the 305 tpi, and i figured for the extra money i would of spent getting an original 5 speed camaro without the tpi i could get an auto with a tpi and swap the trannys out.... my question is, how exactly do you do the entire swap and what are the parts needed to do so? i do have a slight idea what i needed because i read a classified ad for a "complete auto to manual swap kit" but it wasnt for the same tranny that im putting in and it was for a newer camaro. i have some knowledge in mechanics but im still learning, thats why i want to get some expert advice so i do it right.....im sick of problems with my cavalier's tranny and clutch. mostly because i didnt ask and just did it all myself with no advice (its all fixed and working perfectly now btw) anyway, it would be really helpful to get any info on an auto to a t-5 swap. i would like to get it done as soon as i can so im not stuck with an auto all summer. haha
