its there a speedometer that doesn't use a cable it uses a vss if there is one in what year can i find it? thanks 4 the help

 

90-92 OE speedo's are electronic. However, those clusters are not a straight swap into your car's OE dash. Transplanting or swapping dashes just for a 90-92 electronic speedo isnt for the faint of heart as that also entails swapping wiring harness and compatibility issues beyond.

Take a look at the http://www.covansclassic.com site. They sell an electronic cluster package that might suit your need or, at least give you an idea of how to replace your OE guages with electronic Auto Meter guages. Here again, you'll also need a few extra extra installation parts to make the guages work so be prepared and make the call to Covan's for a shopping list.

http://www.classicindustries.com also carries the package above. Their catalog lists all of the items and related parts as well. Might consider getting one of their catalogs mailed to you. Old school printed catalog that is.
