TH350

Hi everone

I've juist fitted a TH350 in my '55 chevy using an Ecklers kit and I have it running/ driving but it's not right.

It's changing up when I drive aggressively but at too high RPM, and there's a tapping noise when I decellerate.

I thought the pipe at the rear of the transmission was a breather but since found out it's a vacuum link. I am running a Holley 600cfm barb, so assume this line should connect to the carb somewhere. I think this should sort the late change up.

Also, the rattle... it sounds like a loose lifter but cannot be, as the engine runs sweet. Any ideas, please? I have torqued the flexplate and converter ok, so it cannot be either of these.

Any suggestions welcome.

Thanks
