I'm not sure what years (I think '85-'91), I got mine from a friend who converted to a T56. He sold me his, that he purchased from a GM dealer. Appereantly they increase line pressure for the 2-3 shift (IIRC), but I have felt a tremendous shift improvement on the 1-2 shift. Even at 1/4 throttle my tires (though very used ) chirp going into second. As for installing it, you must tilt the rear of the trans down (remove anything holding it up) or if it's out, it will be easier. First you pull out the snap ring, use two flat screw drivers and push in the cover to relieve the snap ring pressure. Then remove the cover, it will be hard to pull out because of the oil seal ring on the cover. If you damaged it, most tranny places have one for cheap (I don't know $, because where I went he flat out gave it to me for free ). Note how the assembly comes out and install the 'vette servo in a likewise arrangement. Install the ring seal (if damaged/removed) and push in the cover. Install the snap ring and your done. Now install the trans and check the fluid level. Have fun.

You want an even better servo that the vette? i work at a trans shop in chicago and sometimes, upon request, we use fairbanks servos. WOW! they advertise 80% more area than even a corvette servo. Boy, talk about neck snapping.

In our 10 second 700R4's we DO NOT use the Fairbanks servo, it is an overkill in all but stock applications, even then I question it. When everything is set up right, you don't need it, the Corvette Servo will work just fine.
Glad Too Help!!!

IIRC it is located above the trans pan next to the TV cable on the passenger side. It is about 4"-5" in diameter and the top portion angles slightly in to the trans. It also has a hex extrusion on the center, about 1" in size.
