I have almost got this one solved. 3 problems down and one to go, the 700r4 transmission. The transmission runs like it is confused, I have figured this out to be that the converter is locking and unlocking atthe wrong times. The fluid in this guys tranny is done(burned), would this be a cause for the problem????. god I hope so, i want to get this one done soon, no working on cars this coming weekend for me!!!.

If the fluid is burned the tranny is going to follow behind shortly. You can try a TCC lock-up switch, it'd be your cheapest and fastest way to fix it. Since the fluid is burned don't expect much more out of the tranny, it may not even be the TCC. When I annhilated my tranny it used to "grab" when I nailed it.
