My 92 305 700r4 seems to hunt a lot in town for the lock up converter/overdrive gear. A couple of times when I had to come to a quick full stop from speed the engine died. Felt like it was drug down by the converter. Restarted with no problem. Could this be "normal".
Any thoughts out there on the probable shape of this tranny? No other problems and it gets 21 MPG in town.
