T56 flywheel

Will the T56 flywheel from a LT1 bolt up to a gen 1 style engine? Will 1 piece or 2 piece matter?

It will bolt up to the 1 piece seal block. Not sure about the 2 piece seal blocks. I don't see why not though

The LT1 flywheel will not bolt up to a two piece seal crankshaft. The crankshaft bolt pattern was changed when the one piece rear main seal was introduced in 1986.

Hey lock, like mentioned before, you will need an AFTER-MARKET flywheel for that T-56 to work with your 2-piece RMS block. CENTERFORCE sells one, your 2-piece RMS crank, has a 3.58" bolt pattern and the 1-piece RMS crank has a 3.00" bolt pattern. The CENTERFORCE flywheel is about $300, and is a good unit. HTH's
