Build me a Strong 7.5" 10-bolt! If it is possible. I want a reliable rearend for my GTA.

Oooh. That makes me feel better. I just finished installing a race ready 7.5 in my car a week before I blew up my engine. I'm now in the process of installing a big block and was wondering if the diff could handle a low 11 second pass. I guess I won't know for sure until spring.

Why doesnt your 88 GTA have a 3.27 9-bolt rear end in it? That was supposed to be stock. Its a 350 L98 right? The 9-bolt will be stronger stock than a 10-bolt.

If you want to build up a 10-bolt, there is an article on doing that in the tech section of this website.

Anyone have 3.27 gears for a 9-bolt? I've got the rear, but has 2.7x. Just putting out feelers, I'm looking.

I sold the original 9-bolt, cause it is hard to find parts, etc. I had planned to build a ford 9", but I really don't know for sure if that is what I want. Does anyone have good ideas to mount a torque arm on a 9" without buying a custom housing? Better yet, those of you that have custom housings, how is your torque arm attached? Thanks

The guy that I bought my 10 bolt from was running high 10's on it even before he rebuilt it and sold it to me! Maybe this rearend has little gremlins making sure it doesn't break

The easiest way to mount the torque arm to a 9" is to buy the bracket. I think either Currie or Moser sell it for about $150

My 3.27 9 bolt complete diff with disk brakes is for sale but I doubt it would be a good deal for anyone when you consider the shipping costs from Canada to the US.

I did mine for under $1000 and it's counterparts are all in the 12.05 second, 1.7 sec 60' range without failure.
