How do I bleed clutch hydraulics?
How do I bleed clutch hydraulics?
A few weeks after having my clutch serviced (new fork, TOB), I'm starting to notice some stiffness in the clutch pedal, along with a noise when I press the pedal down. The noise is not metallic (which would imply more bearing, fork problems), but sounds more like one of the cylinders is sludged up. So I want to try bleeding the hydraulics, just in case the fluid is old or got gummed up during the fork install (the mechanics did the half-assed way of holding the slave together with the frame of the car rather than replacing the plastic strap).
Only problem is I don't know what steps to take. Can someone give me a simple play-by-play on how to bleed the cylinders? Thanks!

Hi,
Get under the car with someone in it. Have them slowly start pressing down of the clutch. Open the bleeder, watch fluid **** out. when they yell "bottom" close the bleeder.. tell them to go back up slow.. Repeat 3 times. check fluid. repeat 3 times. check fluid. your done.

On the top of the cylinder you can let in gravitey bleed for a while just don't touch the pedal.
