TV Cable Adjustment
I read up on HOW TO do the adjustment, I do have a question though. I have a carb'd 305 and I think my TV cable is out of whack. I tried to adjust it by doing the following...
1) Press the button in
2) Pulled cable forward (front of car)
3) Slowly pushed gas pedal down to the floor. I did not hear a click or feel tension like the how to's said I should.
Any ideas?

Re: TV Cable Adjustment
You should push down tab and then push cable center as far back into it self as possible then release tab and get in the car and press throttle as far as you can

Re: TV Cable Adjustment
All I know is that TV cable adjustment is not something to be taken lightly. I have had to rebuild a tranny after one WOT run because of it.
1. Hold button in
2. Push center in
3. Rotate throttle shaft at Carb or TBI/TPI unit to WOT.
It will turn very very hard. This is where I went wrong. I didn't think it would be that hard the first time so I stopped, but keep turning until the blades are just about straight up and down. I've never heard of doing it from the pedal, but I suppose you could. I read to do it from the throttle shaft I guess so you are sure you know when you are at WOT.
