Selling TH700's for $1000 w/converter???

There's a fellow selling rebuilt TH700's for 1000 bucks WITH a rebuilt stock OR slightly more than stock (either one available) torque converer with 30 day 300hp max 350 lb.ft max money back (no shipping or labor charges, though) warranty. Does that sound good and would any of you guys buy one???

That depends on who this guy is and what components he uses in his rebuilds. Unless he is a known and reputable guy, then I wouldn't do it. Go to someone that people know and respect. Try www.pro-built.net You will pay slightly more for the trans and convertor but you are getting top quality work. One of my friends has been running a pro-built Stage 3 700R4 in his Corvette for almost two years now and he has had no problems with it.

I'm picking up one tonight from the guy to install this weekend. I'll let you know how it turns out. He uses RECON converters in Worcester mass but they are country wide. said he uses B&M component kit but not corvette servo becasue not needed w/his parts and rebuild.

I'm gonna beat the crap outta this tranny and get back to you guys. 2100 stall converter, too.

I wouldn't spend a $1000 for a tranny that only has a 30 day warranty.Most places around here offer a 12 month/12,000 mile warranty.
What happens after day 31 if the tranny dies on you?
Your out a $1000 and looking for another.

If it does't break in 30 days, it'll probably make it for the long haul. At least that's my experience but thanks for the advice.

Picked it up w/converter last night. Going in Sat...
