Tranny swap question

So i was talkin to my mechanic(uncle) and he told me you cant swap my car to manual cause the harnnes is diff and the computer is it really that hard to modify it?

Only difference in the computers would be around the shift points, but some people on here did automatic to manual swap on the stock computer and I havent heard of any complaints or problems.

Its tough for a beginner, but anyone with mechanic experience can do it. Please read the tech articles about swapping from automatics to manual transmissions to get an idea.

The computer program is different, mostly in the idle control. Some people have said the car will want to stall when you push in the clutch and coast to a stop.
