I have the 700r4 and when in drive the car shudders when I let off the gas. Its like when I truck pulling heavy loads goes ove bumps. It feels like something is pulling on the car. When I hit the gas going down the road the car hits real hard and then starts going. Its like something is loose. The tranny has been rebuilt. Any ideas?

It sounds like the TCC (Torque Converter Clutch) is slow in letting go.

 

How do I fix that?

This same thing happened to me Thursday going to work. Let of the accelerator and as it slowed down, the car would vibrate! If I put it in neutral or park (when I came to a stop) it would stop vibrating. When I got to work, I called the place that rebuilt the trans 1 year ago, they told me to drive it there after work. Well, I didn't make it. The trans wouldn't shift. Got it back today. They replaced the governor and the torque converter, so they tell me. UNDER WARRANTY!!!! No charge!

Works great now!
