Torque Convertor question
I was wondering how u can tell if your TC is bad.....i have a stage 2 fastchip which keeps the TC unlocked till OD...i've had this chip or a while.....i've noticed the 4-3 downshift has been sucking lately...almost seems like the TC isn't unlocking quick enough....any ideas or opinions....i'm probably gonna get a new TC anyway...around 2400 stall speed..but i would like to know if this one is bad first....gives me more of a reason do replace it

Sure- warm the car up until you're getting that sluggish 4-3 downshift a few times in a row.
Now, while cruising in 4th, press the brake pedal lightly (just enough to make the rear lights come on but not to slow the car) with your left foot- the TCC solenoid will unlock.
Now try your 4-3 downshift, while keeping your left foot on the brake pedal. This keeps your torque convertor out of lockup.
If it acts the same, it doesn't have anything to do with convertor lockup.
