Funny Noise

I hear a noise that seems to be coming from the front tires, that does not sound normal. This noise only happens when the car is in motion. It makes a duh duh duh with a slight hum noise. When I go about 15mph the sound is pretty loud and when I pick up speed to about 70mph the sounds seems to fade but is still there, just not as loud. Any ideas???

Re: Funny Noise

Could be the steel belts are letting go in the tire(tread seperation or buldge in the tires) Could also be a wheel bearing coming apart, since you mentioned a humming noise. Are your tires directional?

Re: Funny Noise

Yea they are directional and, they are new, so I figure that they balanced them when they got put on. If its the bearings, how would I go about fixing that problem? Is it very hard to do by yourself or should I just get it done?
